About The Author

Tony Sloan lives in Raleigh, North Carolina. He graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Sociology and a minor in Hospitality Management. Working as a food service management professional for many, many years, he has lived in several different states, in unique capacities. Tony is also the oldest of seven other siblings.

The writers of great fiction who have influenced his writing style include: Anne McCaffrey ( ladies first), Frederik Pohl, Issac Asimov, E. E. “Doc” Smith, Robert E. Howard, Michael Moorcock, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Kurt Vonnegut Jr. , Fritz Leiber, Ray Bradbury, Arthur C. Clark, Robert Heinlein and of course, the genius of Frank Herbert.

A firm believer in the adage, ‘ one picture is worth a thousand words.’,Tony places high value on the illustrators ability to convey the essence of a story’s moment in time, akin to the works of Mark Schultz and Frank Frazetta.

Tony hopes his writing will be thought-provoking, filled with excitement, wonders, ideas and mind-blowing imagery.
